For every handbag I produce, I start by sketching out a variety of concepts that incorporate the functionality that I want in that bag. I can’t emphasize enough how much it helps to start with pencil and paper rather than jumping right onto the computer. I also researched other bags, making notes of things I liked and didn’t like about each. The bag type that I eventually landed on is the traditional handbag that is fashionable, practical and has purpose; not a runway bag.
These sketches helped me think through the various functionality and details from a man's point of view. However, I have also come to believe that the woman is better suited to design a practical and functional handbag. That is why I have created this Community of Collaborative Design where I post some of my concept sketches and have my customers collaborate with me to make a better handbag that they can enjoy and be proud wearing. Therefore, all comments are welcome.
We will add to this community page as we grow and expand.
